rights because animals are a simple idea, reduced to the essence, it only means that animals have the right to be treated with respect.
Simultaneously, it is also a profound idea, why the resulting effects are far reaching. Here, in fact, some examples of how the world will change once they learn to treat animals with respect:
We will stop breeding them for their meat.
We will stop killing them for their fur.
We train them to stop our fun.
We will stop using them for scientific research.
Each of these examples is an illustration of the same moral argument.
Having established that humans exploit animals, recognize their rights need to be abolitionists, not reformers.
Be kind to animals is not enough.
Do not be cruel to them is not enough .
Whether we exploit animals for food, for clothing, for fun or to learn, the request of animal rights is to have empty cages, not larger cages.
