ideology

Thinking about the atomic destruction is staggering, but it remains only a potential danger .
The destruction of the living world due to normal everyday human activities, however, is already underway. Although not associated with the terrible deaths and damage that would be instant provocati da una guerra nucleare globale, tali attività stanno comunque uccidendo e distruggendo, seppur lentamente, silenziosamente e insidiosamente.

E' in essa che culmina il lungo sviluppo - dalla Genesi attraverso Aristotele fino a Cartesio - dell'ethos mortifero della supremazia umana volta alla conquest of nature, and that is where we find ourselves inevitably placed in front of that brick wall that we built with our own hands. Enclosed within a circle of human interests and only separated from the rest of the living world, we have become so myopic that they can be destroyed by our own weapons.
is the biggest mistake: we are so obsessed with the conquest of nature that we have built the tools to destroy, to destroy her. Here, then, fully armed and capable of wiping out the entire living universe evolved in its present form over millions of years. And all this thanks to 50 years of the Cold War.
That the 50 thousand nuclear weapons are used or not, does not change one iota the senselessness of the above. The mere fact that these bombs were designed and built is the clearest sign of the madness of the ideology of domination.

Respect (2) Compared

also understood that there are two forms or two levels of respect.
The first is based on fear of punishment ..... and is therefore imposed from outside. E 'compliance with their interactions social animals. That 's what widespread in human societies in the form of law enforcement, and among nations in the form of massive deployment of armed forces. E 'respect for parents demanded their children for five thousand years of civilization and that, until recently, has been taught to the sound of spanking. The good parent pointed out that such a humiliating result could have been avoided had they respected the others, property, law, God and so on throughout the list of the restrictions of civilized life.
The second level of respect is almost sublime, because it comes from within. Not forced by threats of retaliation. We like to respect others because you learned that you reap what you sow, and if you treat others with respect, others respect you. The days in which to discover this great little truth - that is the day when you can say to be an adult.

Osteoarthritis In The Jaw

Our relationship had reached a new level. I could plead my humanity, obstinate and continue to tease him. I could hold on to the question of dominance and slammed to the ground. But that would compromise a friendship based on equality of souls; forcing him to surrender, I crippled the love between me and the little creature.
From that attempt to make mischief in Darwin learned that respect is a key instrument to confront the harsh reality of the pecking order not only animals but also of the human hierarchy. Observe be another means to limit themselves. curb your impulse to prevail, requiring him to get off on a lower rung of the ladder of dominance. If you respect the other one has respect for him, and so it is accepted as equals on its peg. Nor should the object of this respect necessarily be human: this is valid for any being.

How To Raise Money For Managed Futures

E 'common belief that farm animals would not exist even if we did not bred them: so for them and 'best lead a reclusive life rather than not live at all.
is often said that animals such as cows, pigs, sheep, goats, chickens, ducks and geese benefit from the simple fact that e 'allowed to exist.

However, apart from the defenders of the industry, few would be prepared to argue that a common dairy cow leads a happy life. Think of a cow which are subtracted calves at birth, which is then milked intensively for some years. E 'kept constantly pregnant to ensure a continuous production of milk, but not allowed to keep his calf. Eventually, old before her time, when its usefulness' is in decline, is killed, well before they have reached the natural end of its existence.
You can 'say that this cow has led a happy life?.

If you believe that a cow is not never looking back to its calf, ask any farmer how long a newborn calf and her mother call each other. A farmer told me that as long as' they can see each other cry until you lose the item, without a pause. "

A life is beautiful ' simple and profound idea

rights because animals are a simple idea, reduced to the essence, it only means that animals have the right to be treated with respect.
Simultaneously, it is also a profound idea, why the resulting effects are far reaching. Here, in fact, some examples of how the world will change once they learn to treat animals with respect:

We will stop breeding them for their meat.
We will stop killing them for their fur.
We train them to stop our fun.
We will stop using them for scientific research.

Each of these examples is an illustration of the same moral argument.
Having established that humans exploit animals, recognize their rights need to be abolitionists, not reformers.
Be kind to animals is not enough.
Do not be cruel to them is not enough .
Whether we exploit animals for food, for clothing, for fun or to learn, the request of animal rights is to have empty cages, not larger cages.

Consistency

The non-human animals do not know anything but the simplicity and sincerity .... do not know how to be subtle and disconnected from humanity.
Articles like this are a clear example of inconsistency:

" Legislative Decree No 116 of 1992 ....... is the rule which deals with the experimentation in terms of animal themselves, aiming to protect them when they are used for such scientific purposes. fact a fundamental ethical principle in animal experiments is that experimental animals must not be subjected to ill-treatment and unnecessary suffering, of course, to limit testing animal to only those cases where it is really essential . All animals are equal

Jeremy Bentham, the founder of modern utilitarian school of moral philosophy, his ethical system incorporated in the essential basis of the moral with the formula: "Each must count for one and none for more than a" . In other words, the interests of all involved in the action must be taken into account and assessed in the same way as the similar interests of any other being.
