The machinery of civilization, with its industries, its farms, its hospitals, its universities, its ministries, everything depends on people who go through life in the great flowing river of humanity that we call "mainstream" (mainstream) , accepting without question the traditional view that man has within the human world, the cosmos, eternity, infinity. This vision is essentially a self-promotional and exultant Chamber of Commerce Man: "What a piece is the man! Noble intellect, endowed with an unlimited variety of talents ... like a god in the mind " (Shakespeare ). Or " And God said, Let us make man in our image ... .. and domains on all wild beasts and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." And, from Darwin on, here is "the pinnacle of evolution."
long as we remain firm in this anthropocentric perspective there is no way of understanding life in its broadest sense, planetary .... .
