INTERVIEW FROM ROCK SOUND MAGAZINE 01.09 The Amia Venera Landscape are the classic band that will get noticed quickly, professional and attentive to everything that revolves around its world . But let's start from the ground up, making a brief summary of what has been done so far by the sextet from Veneto: "From May 2007 - ie when the group reached its line-up permanently by - we had the opportunity to do several dates in a bit Italy, in some cases alongside bands such as Underoath, Misery Signals and Russian Circles. In the meantime we have grown very well in respect of the recording experience, having regard to the execution of an EP and an album coming soon. "The self-titled debut, as well as highlight the technical qualities above the usual standard of a rookie team, we shows how the Amia Venera Landscape is full of ideas: "The three pieces chosen for the EP with their total 17 minutes are just a small piece of the work to which we are working for about a year. While it is a part of what we do and who will be our first album, we thought it might have a life of their own also disconnected from the general context, allowing us to have suffered a good promotional product. Basically, these are our first compositions, and perhaps not fully represent the general potential of the band, since the first draft of the good has taken place during the period when we were arranging the training. Quantifying the time spent for its implementation is difficult as the result of a much longer process of composition is not limited to writing three pieces in itself but to the design of a real disk. On the tests the subjects are different. We focused on how the listener to relate to them, the environment in which it can move to better interpret, without ever reveal what it is. We have tried to emphasize not so much the argument itself, but the value that they wanted to give when it was written. The groups most affected are us Shora, Kayo Dot, Isis, Dillinger Escape Plan, Cult Of Luna, Knut, Deftones, Meshuggah and Sigur Ros, even if the list is much longer. "The live factor as mentioned earlier is important for Amia Venera Landscape: "The contexts in which we have never been played so far from what we've always done or heard. Our musical influences range from many different musical genres, as has always been natural for us not ask ourselves the limits of any kind. We grew up in the hardcore circuit and it is normal to share the stage with such groups. I think our image is more credible and consistent flanked in this context rather than a fake new scene emo / pop. The Italian groups that are the most respected musical The Secret, Radio Riot Right Now, Slaiver, Slow and Ephel Duath. "Projects in the pipeline for 2009 are many:" Between February and March we plan to undertake the second part of our tour Italian, and always in February back in the studio to record a new song. In short we finally released our first video. Moreover, in view of the debut release, we would like to find a good label capable of promotional push abroad.
INTERVIEW MAGAZINE FROM
ITALIANCORE No.2
few months after the release of the video for "Glances" based on the ep, and after the date of support Dillinger Escape Plan, Velvet July 8th, we are facing one of the most exciting and fascinating bands of the era "post-metalcore". In a time saturated and too little of originality, our show is, after three years, the undisputed pioneers of the movement post hardcore / rock / noise (or as you prefer to call it) in Italy.
IC: Your latest EP is one of the most interesting I've heard in 2009. Tell us how they were born the songs and who you have approached for recording / mixing / mastering.
AVL (Alessandro): First, thank you, we are delighted that you enjoyed the disc. The songs are born in days, weeks and years locked in a rehearsal room full dark and cold. They were born with difficulty, from a lot of determination, and represent a significant gradient of our sound and what we express with our music, which however has never wanted to limit (and will not be limited especially in the future) to only this. The pieces were recorded at the Ravenna Studio73 with producer Riccardo Pasini. Other arrangements were also completed in our mini studio staff and everything was finally mixed by our guitarist, Henry. The master was made to the Creative Studio by Stefano Cappelli, a great professional with whom we were now in tune.
IC: You are part of the agency best in Italy, the Hellfire Booking Promotions. As you are with Matt and his associates?
AVL: With Matt we are very good. Our relationship with him is characterized by professionalism, transparency and mutual respect. We have the ability to play consistently shoulder to foreign groups of large size, thus creating us visibility in the national scene and the pleasure of sharing the stage with bands that, in some cases, estimate and listen for years. We realize that for us is a great opportunity.
CI: How was your date with Dillinger at the Velvet on 8 July?
AVL: the date went pretty well in my opinion. Despite the time which of course may have penalized in terms of number of visitors, playing with the DEP, a group that left a mark in each of us, musically speaking, it was a pleasure as well as a great satisfaction.
IC: How did you get in touch with Derek Hess (Strhess Clothing) and how you came to an agreement to obtain the sponsorship?
AVL: Initially, we turned to Derek Hess for the creation of the artwork of our cd, but the issue was later abandoned. He came out instead of this agreement sposorizzazione by its brand, Strhess Clothing.
IC: What music do you listen recently and who / what do you think has influenced the way you sing and write?
AVL: Lately I've been listening to a lot Intronaut, Ephel Duath, Thrice and A Silver Mt Zion. In terms of influences in the way of writing and singing I think to have played a key role has been especially Jacob Bannon (Converge) in the case il modo di scrivere, e Klas Rydberg (Cult Of Luna) e Karl Schubach (Misery Signals) per quanto riguarda invece il modo di cantare e l'approccio.
IC: Parlaci di Noisecult Records, la tua ettichetta, e del tuo progetto Tears released our debut EP, Reversal.

postcore The landscape in recent years has given us what we should expect the worst. He's seen little talent, even less in the ideas of movement and the scene seemed to survive for knowledge and repetition, slowly drowning in his own apathy. To survive, we needed a reality smuovesse water and not left to sink even the good that had produced all over the Italian landscape. To cheer the souls we think gli Amia Venera Landscape, direttamente da Vicenza.

A sludgy post-hardcore from an Italian band. Brutal vocals rotate with clean and give to the atmosphere an alternative color. Technical play of instruments, acceleration and high speed guitars. This EP is a great piece of the work about what this band can do. Three well enough tracks with a heavy attitude, a hardcore sound and a technical approach. This is the first ever work of this band, but out of the blue is really well structured, great composition from the point of view and as a very good sound. No more to say, give it a try and enjoy Their inspiration. Modern metal with alternate strokes of the brush.

Strange paths and strategies of the music biz, including that deals with the extreme niches. Alongside a parade of endless metal bands / post / whatever core with little talent and even less ideas, but immediately put under contract and ultra pumped label of the moment, sometimes you're lucky enough to run into ensemble of real value, but are forced to drive to make himself known to occur and publish their work.
This is the case of Amia Venera Landscape, sextet Venetian here in his debut mini cd. The guys mean business: technically gifted, able to express their skill in intricate compositions hours now more direct and linear, but always aimed at a real interesting and original style. Post hardcore, certainly, than the DOC, though. In 17 minutes the band compresses, expands, centrifuge and assimilate the best ideas from this genre.
"My Hands Will Burn First" attacks immediately with an abrasive sound that smacks of Burst, Burnt By The Sun and early Cult Of Luna: grinding guitars, rhythmic variety and well-calibrated, on which alternating screams and clean vocals. For once, the combination of the two types of singing has failed and is not tacky. The heart of the disc, however, is the next "Nicholas", almost nine minutes later which is pretty much everything: a reinterpretation of Converge in a more melodic, sonic waste borrowed from the Breach, a central almost ambient break, ending with lens mutations halfway between Isis and Neurosis. "Glances" is a quick reading of what has already been put on display, with a greater emphasis on melody, which is expressed especially nella parte finale della canzone.

Una ritmica powerful and linear forms the basis of a devastating guitar riffs, which also is highlighted as a valuable consistently elegant attitude, well expressed in the rest of accurate vocal arrangements, where the screaming (screaming voice) well, alternating with the more classical singing, no noticeable contrast. "My Hands Will Burn First" summarizes in a rapid and overwhelming changes in rhythmic sequence of the essence of the restless soul, mixing thrash ultratecnico openings almost "gothic". "Nicholas" is a real suite, alternating massive onslaught of heavy metal more unexpected interlude of hypnotic trance music, beautifully blended along a fascinating journey that unfolds gradually seamlessly. "Glances" is a combination of the most heinous guitar roar and melodic that it is no exaggeration to connect to classical references. Technically flawless, the mini album Aima Venera Landscape is evidence of self-handling would also like to express great authentic artistic talents. One can only imagine what this group could accomplish in the future ... Meanwhile, the conditions are truly exhilarating. A pleasant surprise!

NEUROPRISON (ITA)
The Amia Venera Landscape are a young Venetian sextet which arises without doubt one of the best new music scene of the country, with a very attractive proposal that transcends genres.
After a demo in 2007, the band participates in the Neurosounds Vol.1 compilation with the song "New Dawn", now able to stand out in a large number of emerging groups and our own good, and thereafter with a well-established lineup, there's still more support and visibility, thanks to a live activity.
has recently been published and then the long-awaited self-titled debut ep which, although strangely consists of only 3 pieces in question can in 17 minutes to put out all the peculiarities of the band, offering a mix sound very interesting and above all, exquisite workmanship, both in terms of composition that purely technical. recorded at Studio 73 in Ravenna with Riccardo "Paso" Pasini Federico Tanzi, with additional vocals and instruments at the Garage Studio and Studio Venera, the EP reveals a band mature and strong growth compared to the demo, scores in both instrumental in the management and use of the two items (one in a melodic and screaming), but especially with a very professional approach, placing already on quality standards by bands of higher caliber. The sound of their influences are varied and seemingly difficult to reconcile, starting from Cult of Luna (in particular the term "Salvation"), through Thursday, and Underoath, up to Kayo Dot, Dillinger Escape Plan and Tool. The three pieces are then proposed three different sides of their personality Sound: dall'approccio direct and intense, aggressive and dynamic dell'opener "My Hands Will Burn First" to summary a strong progressive and multifaceted of the long "Nicholas" (when peeps a female voice in the background and is given ample space to the soft synth and atmosphere and environment), concluding with "Glances" so much more easy listening, a nod to vocal melodies always easy to hold but with skill and class, leaving the second floor for a moment the mighty three-guitar assault characterized by loose and imperious and dissonances that, combined with powerful drumming, imaginative and technically, is emerging as a key and fundamental part of their basic approach.
just regret at the lack of durability of the ep, especially given the validity of the proposal, but look at the positive side ... the light of this performance on their debut long-range future will be one of the outputs to be expected with higher expectations and which aim at eyes Chiusi, credo che su questo molt attentive ETICHETTE Nazionali ed internazionali saranno d'Accordo.

REVIEW BY ROARZINE (BEL)
Amia Venera Landscape is the epitome of the well executed combination of post-rock and hardcore. The performance carries with it great atmosphere of quiet breaks to melodic atmospheres that can change a hopeful feeling to the other extreme, the desolate and lost. The hardcore side of this collective is highly technical Italian made and is in many cases not obvious. The use of grunts and clean vocals here is a very fresh approach, especially from the standpoint that the two vocals by various members in isolation, making it a distinct place in the whole gets.
In 2009 they released this self-titled EP shows that very well received and so they have considerable name for themselves. In fairness, the EP has three tracks and without shame can be said that these three songs have gotten more playing time than most full length. The three numbers therefore vary rapidly so that boredom will not strike! With influences from heavier industries, such as Underoath and act Misery Signals, but with softer edges, like Sigur Rós and the softer side of Deftones, Amia Venera Landscape is a highly recommended act to which attention must be fulfilled. 2010, even the years that they do to Europe, with a full length. The expectations are very high after an EP of this caliber! 5 / 5
